Point Oasis~Beach Access~Perfect for Families

Would love to give this property a great review but unfortunately our experience was disappointing. First, communication with the host was pretty timely and they did agree to fix a few items that needed immediate attention. However, this property does not look like the photos. Here are a few of the issues: outdoor furniture very rusty and dirty, paint chipping off and generally not appealing or inviting to use while on the outside space. Wallpaper was peeling off in one of the full bathrooms, toilet paper holder was broken, faucet was loose and felt as though it would fall from the counter top at anytime (they did offer to repair this but we opted to deal with it), beds in kid room were like sleeping on box springs. Lacking kitchen utensils, we had to wash forks etc after every meal or there were none to use. Pots and pans are sparse, one dish towel to use for the week. Lamps in kids room were broken, fire extinguisher was available but was empty, kitchen chairs had very loose legs on most of them, stairs are very narrow and steep - not great for older dogs or older adults. Found a few roaches in the kitchen, I’m assuming that’s somewhat normal at the coast? The grill grate was completely rusted and unusable but the host had this replaced for us so that it was usable. I’m glad we brought our own beach equipment, the items are not in great shape. upstairs living area is spacious and was good for watching tv and playing games. Too much for a house w/ all of these issues.

The property was very clean and the hosts were very helpful and quick to communicate. We would definitely stay again.

The property was ideal for our 4th of July beach trip. Beach is an easy walk or use the golf cart for added convenience. The house has chairs, beach toys and boogie boards to make things even easier. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the porch. The owners were easy to work with and checked in to make sure everything was good. Would stay here again when coming to Emerald Isle.

Our host definitely stands out compared to some properties we've stayed in. Very prompt with answers to questions. Checkin was excellent. She worked hard to get the golf cart to us after maintenance. All communications were excellent. Property was as described. Bed in master BR was comfortable.
